It's been awhile since I have posted anything on my blog and I apologize! Life just gets busy and sometimes I feel like I don't have time to do anything!
Now lets talk about food... Food is AMAZING, but my favorite part about food is allll the sweets! I have a horrible sweet tooth and if I could, I would eat mint ice cream, boxed brownies and chocolate goodies for the rest of my life! Now let's talk about HEALTHY food, a lot of people say that eating healthy is too expensive and that it tastes nasty. I am here to tell you that eating and living a healthy life style is AMAZING. Today's post is all about what I eat in a day, my husband made our meal plan and it's the best one yet!
First and foremost you have to calculate everything to see what YOUR body specifically needs so you can have energy through out the day! Jordan and I have goals that we are both working on, so we always calculate the carbs, fats, protein, etc.
What Jordan and I like to do is meal prep everything... head to your local grocery store, buy everything you need (a weeks worth of food), go home and cook all of the yummy goodies! It makes things so much easier when everything is already cooked; you weigh it, put it on a plate and heat your food up in the microwave!
BREAKFAST
3 egg whites & 1 whole egg
2 OZ of turkey sausage
SNACK
1 banana
2 tablespoons of protein peanut butter
LUNCH
3.5 OZ of barilla protein plus pasta
1/4 cup of yellow squash
4 OZ of ground turkey
SNACK
protein shake
DINNER
(my favorite meal! Hawaiian BBQ chicken burritos)
1 whole wheat tortilla
1/2 of a chicken breast
1/4 cup of cheese
1 hand full of lettuce
BBQ sauce
1/3 cup of pineapple
DESSERT
Halo top ice cream- SO GOOD. Jordan and I have this every once in a while, especially when we accidentally skipped one of our meals. It's healthy and so yummy! I recommend red velvet, vanilla bean and mint chip. Jordan loves birthday cake and sea salt caramel!
There you have it! That is what I eat in a day and I absolutely love my meal plan! I do have one cheat day and that is always on Sundays, because Sunday dinners are the BEST.
For those who are wanting to live a healthy life style, DO IT. I promise you won't regret it, feeling healthy is the best feeling ever. I know that Texas Roadhouse rolls and Chick-fil-a fries are amazing, but you can have that on your cheat day!
