Does anyone else agree that 2017 went by wayyy too fast?! I blinked and than it was 2018!
2017 was a year that I will never forget... I got engaged, married, moved away from home/out of state for the first time and became even stronger than the year before. 2017 challenged me emotionally, physically and mentally. There were so many changes, that sometimes it was overwhelming- but that's part of life. Life isn't meant to be easy... it's meant to be lived, sometimes happy, other times rough; but with every up and down you learn lessons that make you strong.
Since it's the New Year, it's time to pull out the pen and paper(s) and write down some goals! Jordan and I like to write personal, educational, spiritual and marital goals. For me, it personally makes it easier to write everything down.
I wanted to share with you some of my goals and I'm excited to share some with you. Soooo.... let the long list of goals begin! ;)
Focus on my emotional, mental and physical health.
With my last blog post, I mentioned that I wanted to live a healthier life style. I want to do it for a couples reasons... For those of you who don't know, I have severe depression and anxiety. I truly
didn't realize how bad it was, until I moved away from my family- I knew it was bad, but not this bad. Going to the gym helps reduce stress and overall helps everything about your health, duh. LOL. I wrote down that I wanted to go to the gym at least 3x a week, have a cheat day/meal ONLY on Sundays and to eat yummy healthy food. I have a TOTAL sweet tooth for chocolate, cake, warm cookies- you know the good stuff, so this is kind of hard for me! It's a good thing I have a hubby who lives a healthy life style, or I would be in trouble!

Follow your heart & push yourself.
If you don't know me, I love to set goals that will push myself with my talents. I'm a believer that success is a decision. If you put in the time and effort, you will see the results.. a lot of the time I have seen amazing results with my hard work. A couple things I specifically wrote down was to start blogging again, it's such a simple goal but I miss writing and connecting with my followers. I've been hesitant to blog again, because there are so many amazing bloggers out there- but I realized that I am capable of being just as good as them. Another one I wrote down was to upload a You-tube video once a week of me singing or doing a makeup tutorial. I've been so off and on with You-tube, but this year I want to be committed with my channel. I want my channel to grow and to showcase what I truly love most, singing and playing around with make up. LOL.
Living in the moment.
I have a hard time focusing on what time it is and than get upset because the day is almost over, this usually happens when the bae has a day off. It's so dumb to get upset about, but we barely see each other and I always want to spend every second with him! This year I want to breathe, relax and enjoy every second of every moment. Life is too short and goes by way too fast to worry about the little things.
Living the gospel.
I absolutely love the gospel and everything that has to do with the LDS church. The gospel has saved my life, literally, in so many ways! The Kansas City temple is an hour away from where we live, but I wrote down that I need to go to the temple once a week. One of my favorite memories at that temple, is when Jordan and I walked around the grounds before he took me to the airport. We were dating at the time and we wanted to go and read scriptures together before I went back home to Utah. (long distance relationships are so hard BTW!) I also wrote down that I need to pray and read my scriptures every day, no matter what time it is. If I fall asleep on the couch and wake up at three in the morning, I will go upstairs to read and pray. This has happen to me several times and I always do it... If I don't do it, I feel like I can't fall asleep! The gospel is the way of life- it's practical, plain and simple. It is a gospel of action, even to the tiny day-to-day actions that make up the art of living.
There you have it! Those are just a few of my goals that I wanted to share some with you! I want to know what are some of your goals, I'd love to know! I know by reading some of your goals, I will be inspired!
Cheers to a New Year and new memories!
love, sienna
