GIFTS FOR THE HAIR LOVERS

Friday, December 11, 2020

I cannot believe that it is already December! This year has flown by in a blink of an eye and I cannot wait to celebrate Christmas with my family and friends. After all of the chaos, I am excited to share some joy this month and feel close to my savior.

One of the most stressful things for me, during this month, is the Christmas shopping! I get so overwhelmed because I want to give someone something that I know they would enjoy. I always try and be as thoughtful as possible with my gifts, because it has more genuine intent with the gift giving.

I am here to help you, with what to give either your girlfriend, mom or sister. Specifically to those who are obsessed with anything hair related. I loveeee me some good hair products, especially when they actually work and aren't damaging my natural hair. I don't like to put any products in my hair that will make it more weak, then it already may be.

The thing that I love to give is a simple gift set! The boxes are always so pretty, almost to the point where you don't need to wrap them! You always get more bang for your buck, which is another great deal. ColorProof Color Care Authority has some AMAZING options when it comes to gift sets. They have sooo many options, depending on what your hair needs and desires are. I have two different sets that are my favorite and I know you'll love them too. The first one is the Sexy Summer Texture kit. It comes with SuperRich Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner and TextureCharge Color Protect Texture and Finishing Spray. I would give this to someone who loves to add a little oomph and texture to their everyday look, whether it be straight or wavy. The shampoo is going to give them enough moisture, from all of the swimming they have done... as well as keeping it healthy from bleaching their hair blonde. I mean, I always dye my hair blonde during the summer, so I need all of the moisture! Since they curl their hair or leave it in braids, it's always nice to have some texture in your hair! It gives the hair more dimension, so that's why this texturizing spray will work wondersss for her. who doesn't want mermaid hair? I promise, she'll love this if you give it to her.

The second gift set is called Voluminously Yours, so this one is going to perfect for those who love to have as much volume in their hair. Now, something that I love about ColorProof, is that all of their products are vegan, color and heat protected, cruelty free, sulfate free, gluten free and paraben free! Which is what everyone wants in their hair care products. I know what I'm putting in my hair is healthy and won't damage it. This gift set is also good for those who love the color red. It's a beautiful bright red and perfect for Christmas. It comes with the SuperPlump Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner, LiftIt Mousse Color Protect Root Boost and a Bamboo Detangle Brush!! Whattttt? Yes, you heard me right. That brush is going to be your new best friend. It doesn't hurt to comb your hair out, it just simply glides through your hair, without a harsh pull. This set gives you VOLUME, once you see your friend have amazing volume, you are going to want this set for yourself.

There are my top gift ideas that I would give to someone who has a love for hair. These are gifts that everyone will love and I cannot wait to gift my friends and family with these ideas! PLUS! They’re 25% off now through 12/18 with code: holidaycheer. And if you order by 12/18, you’ll get them by Christmas!

What gift guide do you want to see next?

SELF-CARE ROUTINE FOR DEPRESSION

Thursday, February 20, 2020
Hi depression and anxiety... how are ya?

Obviously if you are reading this post, it is because you suffer from your own mental health roller coaster. Having depression is REAL, having anxiety is REAL. No one is able to understand it until they are in your shoes. I'm here to tell you that I know how you feel. I know how hard it is to get out of bed when you don't want to, how your chest feels like it's about to burst because you're anxious and how it feels when you're sad for no reason. All of those feelings are too familiar.

People who suffer from depression encounter difficulties in their life from day to day. Without even realizing it, I've managed to make my depression less powerful with little self-care tips I try to do on a daily basis. These little, daily rituals can give you insight into a whole new world which is not as bad as you might have thought until now. After many days of being upset, I thought that my world was sometimes falling apart and that there was no hope for my depression. It wasn't until I chose to punch my depression in the face and tell myself that my depression is NOT in control- I AM IN CONTROL.

ONE YEAR

Saturday, January 18, 2020
It feels just like yesterday, that I was sitting down in the college library writing my blogpost explaining that I was recently divorced by my ex-husband. I remember the anxiety that filled my chest and the nerves that I was feeling right before I clicked "publish." I remember how amazed I was, that a simple signature, automatically meant that I was no longer married anymore. I remember the anger and guilt that I felt when my ex-husband announced he wanted to leave me. I remember.... I remember all of the emotions, pain and freedom I felt from no longer being married. I remember.

It's been exactly one year since the judge officially signed my divorce papers, stating I was officially a divorcee and single. I all of a sudden blinked and now it's been one year.

A year to the day the judge signs the papers you sit and reflect. You think about all the crying you did, all the times you consoled yourself because you knew it was going to be hard, all of the fighting and bickering about dumb things, all of the hatred you felt from your ex, how many times you thought your ex might want you back, and two days later, you remembered how much he used to love you.

THE ART OF LOVING YOURSELF

Thursday, January 9, 2020
Why is it that we can fall head over heels in love with a perfect stranger, in a heartbeat, yet when it comes to loving ourselves, we can endlessly struggle?

Self-love is something I personally battled with for the majority of my teen years. I was uncomfortable in my own skin. I couldn't help but compare myself to all the girls I encountered daily, and believed were prettier, smarter and more popular than me. I often wished I could wake up as somebody else. Anybody else. And it breaks my heart that I just wrote that. I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone.

Today, you'll be able to meet with a bubbly, positive, and confident young woman. But the journey to get to where I find myself now has not been an easy one. I didn't wake up one day, and miraculously feel like an unstoppable Goddess. It took years of changing bad habits, practicing new ones, confronting my fears, and learning to believe in myself no matter what.

I want you to know that if I can learn to love myself, I believe with all my heart that you can too- and you must.

HOW TO GROW YOUR INSTAGRAM / BECOMING AN INFLUENCER

Sunday, September 22, 2019
Ohhh Instgram, what a fun app you are! It truly has become one of the greatest tools to help promote yourself and give influencers opportunities that wouldn't have been able to happen; all because of this ONE APP! Can you believe that? Can you believe that you can make an income, just by posting about your passions?! To this day, it still blows my mind.

First, I want to say this- THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYONE TO BECOME A BLOGGER/INFLUENCER, in fact- we need MORE of you. We need more individuals to help build this amazing platform, to showcase that you CAN become your own boss and change lives. Second, before you can actually start becoming a full-time "influencer", you first need to GROW your page and create content that will help uplift and inspire your audience.

I'm going to share with you how to make it happen, it's not going to happen overnight, it's going to require a lot of time and patience. But, it CAN and WILL happen, if you are committed and stick with it.  So, grab a snack or a drink because this is going to be a long post! ;)

DATING AFTER DIVORCE

Tuesday, June 25, 2019
I never thought that I would be in this position. A position where I would be trying to find someone else to spend my forever with. I never thought I would be forced to start from the ground up, in trying to figure out my new dreams, goals and aspirations in life. I had a plan, but sometimes your plans don't always follow through.

I moved back home to Utah in December, once I came home, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Slowly, I had some anxiety about dating and figuring out my new life style. It was scary going from one life style and sucked into a whole new atmosphere that you weren't used to. In time, that anxiety turned into confidence and the worries turned into an unstoppable strength.

After my divorce was finalized in January, I heard thousands of comments from everyone. It was overwhelming and I honestly just wanted to run away from those who were telling me what to do. "You need to wait at least a year before dating someone serious. Only date to have fun." or "You are moving on way too fast." All of these comments were and still are hard to hear.

If I am being honest, I am dating to find my eternal companion. I'm not wanting to date around just to have a NCMO (non committed make out), one night stand, booty call or simply because I have nothing going on that night; I'm dating to find a future spouse. I know EXACTLY what I want and I'm definitely not going to settle for anything less, so you bet your bottom dollar I have "a list" of not only what I want in a guy, but what I NEED in a future spouse.

A LETTER TO MY FUTURE HUSBAND

Wednesday, March 13, 2019
To my darling future husband,

First off – if you are reading this, you need to know how special you are to me. How important you are to me. How loved you are by me. For a woman that is closed off from romantic feelings and doesn’t like to get into emotions, this is the most intimate part of me, and I’m glad I can share it with you.

When I think about my future with you, my stomach fills with all the good types of butterflies. I can’t wait to start an amazing family. Above all, I can’t wait to share my life with the person I love and cherish the most – you. Every day, I hope that you are the smart, kind, strong man that I see in my dreams. I pray that everyone close to me loves you as much as I do. Everyone knows that I’m not the easiest to be around, but the love I have for you will be worth it in the end.

how I'm truly feeling

Tuesday, January 22, 2019
I have been sitting here, trying to figure out how to describe my situation and share my thoughts about what I have been experiencing over the last six months. I am not here to ask for sympathy, I'm here to simply express how I'm truly feeling. Although, I am not ready to share my story to the public yet, I don't even know if I actually will. I am ready to share with you about how I'm doing.

The last six months have been a journey, a journey that I would never wish for anyone to experience, not even my worst enemy. There have been moments of happiness and moments of where I simply felt like I couldn't survive another day. I have felt sadness, discouragement, anger, peace, comfort, hope- a wave of emotions that was and is overwhelming to handle. One thing I have felt, is the Lord's hand and his grace through out this process. I have personally felt him carrying me, when I couldn't get up or when I simply couldn't walk. I have felt him wiping away my tears and giving me strength for the upcoming months of pain that he knew I was going to experience. I HAVE FELT HIM. It's an amazing feeling, a feeling that I don't ever want to loose.

living a healthy lifestyle

Happy Monday, loves!
It's been awhile since I have posted anything on my blog and I apologize! Life just gets busy and sometimes I feel like I don't have time to do anything!
Now lets talk about food... Food is AMAZING, but my favorite part about food is allll the sweets! I have a horrible sweet tooth and if I could, I would eat mint ice cream, boxed brownies and chocolate goodies for the rest of my life! Now let's talk about HEALTHY food, a lot of people say that eating healthy is too expensive and that it tastes nasty. I am here to tell you that eating and living a healthy life style is AMAZING. Today's post is all about what I eat in a day, my husband made our meal plan and it's the best one yet!

CURRENT BEAUTY FAVORITES

Sunday, January 14, 2018
Happy weekend, loves! This weekend consisted of working out, playing with my adorable dogs, watching Sunday football and eating AMAZING burgers at Red Robin with my hubby. I forgot how delicious Red Robin was, I haven't been there in awhile and I can definitely say I left with a happy tummy!

NEW YEAR, WHO DIS?

Wednesday, January 10, 2018
Does anyone else agree that 2017 went by wayyy too fast?! I blinked and than it was 2018!
2017 was a year that I will never forget... I got engaged, married, moved away from home/out of state for the first time and became even stronger than the year before. 2017 challenged me emotionally, physically and mentally. There were so many changes, that sometimes it was overwhelming- but that's part of life. Life isn't meant to be easy... it's meant to be lived, sometimes happy, other times rough; but with every up and down you learn lessons that make you strong.

WHAT'S IN YOUR GYM BAG

Monday, January 8, 2018
Hey babes! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This weekend my husband and I went to the coolest little soda store here in Kansas City. There were SO many flavors to try out, it was kind of over whelming! We chose four different flavors, I got Candied bacon cream soda and chocolate cream soda, the hubby got butterscotch beer (non-alcoholic of course) and just plain old root beer! Of course my two flavors were NASTY, I couldn't even believe it. LOL. But hey, at least I tried something new!

DARE TO BE BOLD

Friday, January 5, 2018
Happy weekend babes!
Today I want to talk about stepping out of your comfort zone. I don't know about you, but I'm constantly worrying about what others think of me. It's horrible, but for some reason it's a thought that's stuck in the back of my mind.

LIFE CHOICES

Friday, March 3, 2017
Our story is very different from everyone else. We dated for three months, got engaged and now we are planning a wedding- my freshman year of college and at the age of 19.
Now I can only imagine what is running through your head right now.... because I've been thrown these comments for the past couple of months. (for example: Aren't you too young to get married? Are you pregnant? What about college or a career? What about Miss Lehi? Your pageant career is more important than marriage! You got over your last EX way too fast. Don't you want to date around? Travel? How can you afford that? What about having fun? And the list could only go on...)
